PEORIA, Ill. – Tuesday, October 24 is the day to go “All-In” for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois.
Donations made on Tuesday will help support Peoria’s own Ronald McDonald House.
Ronald McDonald Charities of Central Illinois’ Development Director Abby Koester tells WMBD’s “Greg and Dan Show”, families whose kids are being treated here Central Illinois are never given a bill for their stay at the Ronald McDonald House.
“So, if your child is in the hospital for any type of medical reason, whether it’s a procedure or is critically ill for some reason, then that family can stay in the (Ronald McDonald) house free of charge, we never ask families to pay. And, they also get all the amenities that come with that,” Koester says.
All money raised locally during Tuesday’s “All-In Day” is being matched dollar-for-dollar by OSF HealthCare.
“If you donate $25, it turns into $50, if you donate $50, it turns into $100. So, thank you so much for that, it was just a huge donation,” Koester says.
