BRIMFIELD, Ill. – The Peoria County Coroner is looking further into the death of a teenager who is believed to have drowned in a hot tub.
The coroner says first responders went to the 11000 block of North Park Ridge Road in Brimfield late Monday after parents found Jacob Look, 17, unresponsive.
He was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria and was pronounced dead early the next morning.
The coroner says the immediate cause of Look’s death was drowning; but further studies will be done to determine if a medical event happened beforehand.
Look was a Brimfield High School basketball player.
