PEORIA, Ill. — It was another record-breaking weekend for the Peoria Civic Center.
Harry Connick, Jr’s show Saturday night was sold out, bringing a new record for the highest grossing theater concert in the venue’s history.
Peoria Civic Center General Manager Rik Edgar said a cappella group Pentatonix also performed to a sold out arena crowd on Saturday night.
Prior to Saturday, the highest grossing theater concert record was set by John Mellencamp back in 2019.
“Both acts put on phenomenal shows and entertained thousands of fans this weekend. We were fortunate to secure prime Saturday night stops for Mr. Connick and Pentatonix on their respective holiday tours. Thank you to Live Nation for the opportunity and their partnership for bringing these shows to the community,” Edgar said.
Other weekend events at Peoria Civic Center included Disney Princess The Concert in the theater, a Peoria Rivermen game and Peoria Princess Party.
The 41st Annual Greater Peoria Farm Show filled the exhibit halls earlier in the week.
