CHICAGO, Ill. – The Illinois Department of Public Health and federal officials are continuing to investigate how salmonella may have contaminated certain brands of flour.
State officials say General Mills is voluntarily recalling two-, five-, and ten-pound bags of Gold Medal Unbleached and Bleached All-Purpose Flour.
It has use-by dates of between March 27th and 28th of 2024.
They say if you have it, dispose of it immediately.
State officials say they’re working with local health departments to identify additional cases statewide, other than two cases here and thirteen nationwide. Three people have been hospitalized.
