ROCKFORD, Ill. – Recently retired Circuit Court Judge Joe McGraw is announcing his candidacy for Illinois’ 17th Congressional District as a Republican candidate.
Republican Ray Estrada, a Galesburg businessman, announced last week that he was dropping out of the 2024 race for the 17th District seat.
First-term Democrat Eric Sorensen was elected to Illinois’ 17th Congressional District last year.
On Wednesday, McGraw will make a stop in Peoria at the Peoria County Courthouse, at the corner of Main and NE Adams, at 12:30 p.m.
