PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria police say they are still looking for a man they have identified as a suspect into a fatal shooting, the city’s 8th homicide of the year.
The suspect is Bryan Vann, 35, and police are requesting the public’s help to locate him.
Officers responded to the area of Garden and Griswold in South Peoria around 3:30 a.m. July 23.
When they arrived, they found a man later identified as Quinterius Evans, 31, of Peoria lying in the road.
Officers immediately performed life saving measures, but Evans died from his injuries. Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said an inquest revealed Evans suffered multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body.
Police say Vann is wanted for first degree murder. Vann is described as 5-10, 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Vann is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
