PEORIA, Ill. – A woman is facing numerous charges after an alleged armed robbery Sunday night at a Peoria apartment complex.
Peoria Police says officers responded just before midnight to the Lexington Hills Apartments after an adult male victim told police he was there to purchase a vehicle from an adult female.
Police say the female allegedly approached the victim, pulled out a handgun, took an undisclosed amount from the victim, then fled the scene on foot.
Detectives on Wednesday identified 19-year-old Erianah King as a suspect…and was arrested that afternoon. She is charged with Armed Robbery, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID, Possession of a Weapon Under 21, and two counts of Aggravated Assault.
Police say a search of King’s residence reportedly turned up a handgun with an extended magazine.
King was taken to the Peoria County Jail.
