PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police have announced an arrest in an earlier bank robbery from last week.
PPD says officers with the Criminal and Special Investigations units caught up with 31-year-old Monterius Miller late Thursday.
They had identified him as a suspect in the January 20th robbery of the P-N-C bank location on West Forest Hill Avenue.
No injuries were reported that day.
Initial information gathered at the scene indicated a male suspect wearing dark clothing had entered the bank, indicating he had a weapon and demanded money from a teller inside.
After about a week, PPD invesigators conducted a traffic stop and arrested Miller in connection with the case.
Miller was then taken to PPD for further questioning and was then arrested for Aggravated Robbery, according to a news release issued Friday
The release adds that Miller already had warrants out of Peoria County as well as a warrant fleeing and eluding Peoria Police in an earlier case.
Police say Miller is now jailed in Peoria County.
