Well my friends I’m taking a few days off from radio and heading south to New Orleans for Mardi Gras! I have family down there and it’s something I started doing for about 3 years now, kinda making it a tradition of it I guess. I love seeing the parades every year and enjoying time with Family and friends down there. Of course Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday, refers to events of the Carnival celebration, beginning on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday (known as Shrove Tuesday). Mardi Gras comes from the French which means “Fat Tuesday”which comes February 25th do to leap year this year. “Fat Tuesday” reflects the practice of the last night of eating rich, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season. So Happy Mardi Gras to you all and I will catch you when I get back.
