PEORIA, Ill. – The parent organization of Peoria Public Television Station WTVP has named a temporary leader.
The board of Illinois Valley Telecommunications Corporation says Julie Sanders has been named Interim Station Manager.
Sanders — in addition to being seen on WTVP during pledge drives and as co-host of the program “You Gotta See This!” among other things — has been the station’s Executive Director of Content and Marketing.
In a statement, Sanders is described as, quote, “a dynamic, forward-thinking content and communications leader.”
WTVP’s previous CEO, Lesley Matuszak, was found dead in her home last Thursday, a day after reportedly resigning.
