PEORIA, Ill. – During a traffic stop Tuesday, Peoria Police arrested a man allegedly wanted on multiple gun charges.
PPD Spokesperson Semone Roth says 19-year-old Kamarion Collins was taken into custody near William Kumpf Boulevard and RB Garrett just before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, no FOID card, possession of a handgun under 21, possession of a stolen firearm, and four active warrants.
Collins was taken into custody without incident after being found in the back seat of the vehicle stopped by PPD.
His backpack was searched, where officers found a loaded gun with an extended magazine that was reported stolen.
Collins was taken to the Peoria County Jail following his arrest.
