PEORIA, Ill. – It appears arson is to blame for a fire early Monday morning in Peoria.
Crews were called just before 12:15 a.m. to a home in the area of N. University and W. Margaret.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but an arson investigator on the scene said the fire appeared to be intentionally set.
Peoria Police took one person into custody in connection with the fire.
No injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at $50,000.
