PEORIA, Ill. – It’s tee time at the Peoria Park District’s Golf Learning Center.
A soft opening took place Wednesday for the renovated facility, featuring TopTracer driving ranges and a brand new restaurant.
The facility is currently open five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday, until early-April, when it will be open seven days a week.
Park District Executive Director Emily Cahill says the Golf Learning Center is now a place for everyone.
“It’s an opportunity for us to not only support our local golfing community, but also those folks looking for something fun to do, and they also turn into golfers,” Cahill said.
The project was first announced in 2022. It cost an estimated $6.5 million to build, with state funding covering around three-fourths of the cost.
A grand opening celebration will take place on April 9th, which coincides with the first day of the Masters golf tournament.
