PEORIA, Ill. – Central Illinois is expecting excessive heat and humidity all this week. The City of Peoria is reminding residents that City buildings are available as cooling centers.
The Peoria Police Department lobby, located at 600 SW Adams Street, is open Monday-Friday from 9 am-5 pm.
All Peoria Fire Department stations will be open from 7 am-7 pm everyday. Note that anyone using a fire station as a cooling center may have to leave during an active call.
