Peoria’s Mayor Ali elected to serve in another statewide role

PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Mayor Rita Ali is adding another title.

The Illinois Municipal League has elected Ali to serve a one-year term as First Vice President of the statewide association.

She has served on the IML Board of Directors since 2021. In 2024, the Peoria mayor was elected to serve as Second Vice President.
