PEORIA, Ill. – Bond has been set at $500,000 in the case of a Peoria man who allegedly opened fire Thursday afternoon, injuring a juvenile girl.
Peoria County Court records indicate a judge Friday also scheduled an arraignment hearing for Jay’vion Lee, 22, for October 6.
Police arrested Lee on three felony weapons and battery-related charges. But, prosecutors only filed counts of Aggravated Battery and Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
The shooting happened near Western and Wiswall, and a ShotSpotter alert indicated 23 rounds being fired. The female was hospitalized with a non-life-threatening injury.
Lee was arrested after allegedly fleeing into a nearby house.
