PEORIA, Ill. – A Shabbona, Ill. woman is facing DUI charges in connection to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian last month in Peoria.
Court documents show 27-year-old Savanna Shriber was charged with Aggravated Driving Under the Influence and two counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
Shriber allegedly struck 66-year-old Deana Viano near the intersection of Knoxville and Orchard Place the evening of March 19th.
Viano died at the scene, despite efforts by paramedics and a witness.
Shriber was released from custody and is due back in court on May 12th.
