PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Police have made an arrest for a shooting that left a man with serious injuries Thursday afternoon.
PPD Spokesperson Semone Roth says a gunshot was heard around 4:10 p.m. inside a home on W. Moss Avenue.
A man with a gunshot wound to the leg was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Following an investigation, Peoria Police later said they’d arrested 23-year-old Ashin Greenleaf for the shooting, after he was found in Princeton with the help of Illinois State Police and Princeton Police.
Greenleaf was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated battery, aggravated domestic battery, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and no FOID card, then taken to the Peoria County Jail.
