PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria County grand jury has indicted a man for allegedly striking and killing a woman’s cat earlier this month.
22-year-old Gabriel Brooks is charged with Aggravated Cruelty for the April 9th incident at the Glenbrook Apartments on Knoxville Avenue.
The indictment alleges that Brooks “intentionally struck” the cat named Freddy, causing its death.
If convicted, Brooks could face 1-3 years in prison for the Class 4 felony.
