PEORIA, Ill. – A 15-year-old and a 13-year-old were arrested after allegedly attempting to rob someone Friday afternoon in Peoria.
Peoria Police says the pair tried to rob a 74-year-old male, one allegedly with a weapon, in the area of Knoxville and Thrush.
The teenagers were taken into custody after a brief foot chase after being spotted in the area by officers.
No weapon was found. The victim told police no property was taken, nor any physical contact.
The 15-year-old was taken to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of Attempted Armed Robbery and Obstructing a Police Officer. The 13-year-old was released to a parent.
