PEORIA, Ill. – Severe weather made a quick but deep impact in the Peoria-area Thursday afternoon.
Ameren is reporting more than 2800 customers are without power in East Peoria as of 1:15 P.M. More than 700 customers are without power in Peoria, and around 160 in Washington.
Wind gusts of 58 MPH were reported near Morton.
National Weather Service spotters reported a tree down at Illinois Route 29 and Route 6, with Peoria County saying the roads are currently closed in the area.
A tree was reported down in Canton on Myrtle Street.
